It amazes me how the students get smarter every year. These last essays I received were superb. Congrats, seventh years. I believe you are now ready to take on the world. Remember, NEWTs are going to be difficult, but they're not impossible. I once thought they would be, but you'll be done with them in no time at all. Same with you fifth years. I say it every year, but I'd like you to remember that while it's important to study, you need not stress over them. You are all fine scholars.

Ah March. The time for Apricot blossoms. I rather like that plant. Starts off the year by growing steadily, being one of the first few to actually break through the winter frost. Need to care for it though, lest it'll get overrun by the frost itself. Eventually, these will grow to deliver sweet apricots come summer. They can look a bit twiggy at first, but if you keep them in a sheltered, sunny environment, they'll spring right up.

My condolences go out to those who lost loved ones and friends. I too knew some. Some were very good friends of mine, and their memory is sure to live on with their family and friends.
And well, if anyone feels the need to have a bit of a chat about anything, my doors are always open. I think we'll take it easy in class this up coming week. Maybe do a few in class group projects or something. That sound all right?
Also, thank you for the Valentine gram, Rose.

[Susan] Is it just me or do the students just keep getting smarter and smarter? The first years' essays were absolutely brilliant. I think I just gave out the most O's I've ever given out in my entire life. Or well, of my entire teaching career. Yes, that sounds better. And Allie turned in a brilliant essay to me just yesterday. She's become quite expressive lately. I never feared for either of them taking their OWLs, because they're both brilliant. But now, I'm certain they're both going to do absolutely excellent on them. Better than I ever did.
Do you remember OWLs? It seems like it was such a long time ago. I was bloody terrified of those things, because Gran always threatened to snap my wand if I did poorly on them. I don't think she actually meant to do it, because she did seem to be a bit proud of me when I did all right on them. But still, it was frightening thinking she'd take my wand.
Anyway, I'm sort of babbling. I'm in bed, and you're not here, though I think you're getting a bath. Which would make sense, since you're not replying to my journal entry right away. Unless you took your journal into the tub, which is just a bit strange, love. [/Susan]
[Hogwarts] A marvelous job well done by the Charms Club! I must say I've been seeing students busy working for the Valentine's Day gram distribution. I bought some grams myself actually. Pity you don't give professor discounts, aye Miss Weasley?
Oh, I'm only joking really. But keep up the good work! I honestly don't know how you can all be in so many school clubs and still do so well in all your classes. Superb!

Students, please be aware that the Herbology corridor on the west side is currently being blocked by tall, giggling weeds. They are nothing to be afraid of as they just like to grow wildly out of control and well, giggle a lot. However, I would advise to use the corridor on the east side in order to come to my class. Also, do not attempt to feed or move these weeds out of the way. If they find that something is not funny or that they are being fed, they will get a bit hostile and start snapping leaves at you. Nothing to be afraid of, just do try not to upset the poor things. They've been through enough as it is. Thank you.

Well, I've managed to keep the garden away from Susan's. At least I know that as long as I'm around, Susie's plants won't be threatened. I'm really not sure why my plants feel the need to attack her plants. They're perfectly well behaved when I'm here, so why shouldn't they be when I'm gone? I mean, they're generally mellow plants the ones in my garden, though I must admit, if you don't give them a bit of a trim here and there, they will grow wild in a matter of days. Perhaps they feel the need to expand their territory. Still, they should be more polite about it. I'm sure Susie's plants would share some space with them if they only asked kindly.
In other news, THREE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! I hope Algie and Alice are ready! Mum and I have got some great presents for you!
Happy Holidays, everyone!

I don't think I've ever had a journal. I remember once Gran tried to give me a journal to write things in, so I wouldn't forget them, right? Well... I forgot where I put the journal and that was the end of that. Never got to write anything in it. Oh well... I guess this is my chance to redeem my lost journal!
Oh! Before I forget, sixth years, your essays were superb! I can't remember who wrote something about relating the Devil's Snare to a dungbeetle? But it was excellent! I laughed for a good, oh, I don't know... fifteen minutes? It made my day, that's for sure!

Also, congrats to Slytherin for winning that match. I'm late on this, I realise.
Also, also, Miss Zoƫ and Mister Dirk, you may resume your projects. I've finally cleaned out the lab after the giant plant incident. Fascinating, wasn't it?!
